What is documentary photography?
This style of photography focuses on unstaged, real moments, as they happen. Very little to no direction is given as you go about experiencing the event and enjoying it while I act as a fly on the wall capturing the moments as they come.
How do you plan these sessions?
Before I chase you around with a camera, we will get together so we can begin to know each other. During this consultation, I will figure out exactly what you're looking for and how we can achieve just that.
Any help you can give us on how to prepare for our first meeting?
Of course! Here are some questions that I want you to ask yourself. What are you looking for with this photo session? Are you trying to capture a moment in your families life? What do you plan to do with the photos? (album/wall photos/holiday cards?) what do the photos look like? How do they make you feel? There are plenty more, but these will get you started!
What should I expect from one of your sessions?
The details will vary on this one. However, you should expect to be comfortable!! I want you to enjoy the scenario we've planned and do your best to ignore the guy with the camera. I'll do my best to make you feel at home, and will do little to interrupt the flow. Very little direction, some breaks in between, and probably some very odd poses/positions from this guy.
How long does it take to get my photos after we shoot?
Typical delivery of the photos via digital means will be between 4-6 weeks.
Do you offer physical prints of my photos?
This is not a service that I personally provide. However, the online gallery does have an option for high quality prints to be purchased, which can be turned on per your request.
What is required to book a session with you?
A small non-refundable, retainer fee is required at the time of booking to secure your session. This will be dependent upon the package that is selected.
